Meghan Trainor has revealed that she plans on writing with Sam Smith.
Speaking in a new interview with Digital Spy, Trainor said that they have discussed writing together.
She added that he is a huge fan of the track 'Sledgehammer', which she penned for US girl group Fifth Harmony.
The 'All About That Bass' star said: "Yes, we already talked about it. I was like 'Bro, we're writing together'.
"He was like, 'I'd love to'. He's a big fan of 'Sledgehammer', a song I wrote for Fifth Harmony, and he didn't know I wrote it for them. I was like 'Yo, I wrote that', and he was like, 'What?' and I was like, 'Yeah, I'm a writer'."
When asked what style of tunes they would write, Trainor replied:
"I don't know because I love his dancey stuff but I also love the throwback stuff, which is what I do too. I want to do a good mix in between, something with a rhythm that you could dance to, but very musical."
The US star added that she would also love to write for Rihanna.
