Meghan Trainor says she hasn't made any money from her hit single 'All About That Bass' yet.

The singer released the track last year and it reached No.1 on both sides of the Atlantic.

However, she told the Daily Star that royalty payments haven't kicked in for the song yet, meaning that the idea of her being rich are wide of the mark.

Trainor said: "I haven't made any money yet. They say I will get a big fat cheque after nine months which will be in April so I hope that's right.

"People think I must be rich. But I'm not. I haven't been able to make a big purchase yet but I'm working on it."

The tune features on Trainor's debut album 'Title', which was released in the UK today (January 26).
