Sophie and the Bom Boms has announced details of her next single.

The singer - real name Sophie Stern - will unleash the track 'Power' in the UK on February 23.

The US musician commented in a statement: "Power and money is a constant struggle in our lives and in the world as a whole. It’s a complex relationship.

"It is something we all want, despite knowing it is not what make us truly happy. Writing this record I was thinking about how we want to run from it and towards it at the same time- it’s an eternal struggle. The song is basically f&*%  'the Man' but he still kinda got me hooked."

The track has been produced by David Elevator, who has previously worked with the likes of Beck.

Stern meanwhile has written in the past for acts like Britney Spears and Conor Maynard.

She was also signed as a writer for producer Dr. Luke.
