5SOS's Calum Hood slammed for setting a 'poor example'

A photograph of 5 Seconds Of Summer's Calum Hood smoking next to a petrol pump has been circulating online recently and he has been criticised for behaving irresponsibly when he's such an influential public figure.

A spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade explained to WENN that it's disappointing to see someone who thousands of impressionable young peope look up to setting a 'poor example':

"Smoking a cigarette at a petrol station is incredibly dangerous and it could take a lot less than five seconds to engulf yourself and others in flames. Ten fires a week are caused by smoking and we hope that no impressionable young people follow Calum's poor example."

Hood, meanwhile, recently took to his official Twitter page and shared his excitement at being nominated for a BRIT Award: "So amazing to be nominated for a Brit award!!!!! Thankyou for giving us the opportunity." The lads are up for the International Group prize.
