Nile Rodgers and Chic to release new album

Chic are set to release a new album.

The band, who feature guitarist Nile Rodgers, have inked a deal with Warner Bros. Records.

Their next record is reportedly due to land in June, with a single preceding the album in March.

The record company have also secured Rodgers' own record label imprint Land of The Good Groove, which he runs alongside music executive Michael Ostin.

Warner Bros. Records CEO Cameron Strang commented:

Nile has never stopped moving forward, so I am thrilled to welcome him into the WBR family as he begins a dynamic new chapter of his extraordinary career."

Chic's last album 'Chic-Ism' was released in 1992.
