Aussie musician Cody Simpson has finally unveiled his long awaited new single, 'Flower', and admitted that it's a piece of work he put his heart and soul into.

Writing on his official Twitter page last night (February 4), the heartthrob explained that he's incredibly proud of the song and is excited to release something as an 'independent musician':

"My very first piece of work as a free man and an independent musician distributing my own tunes.. Very stoked. #FLOWER hits iTunes tonight."

He returned to the social networking site this afternoon and asked fans for their feedback on the offering, writing: "What does everyone think? Would love to hear your thoughts #flower."
