Charli XCX: 'People are always doubting me and waiting for me to f**k up'

'Boom Clap' songstress Charli XCX has opened up about having people doubt her abilities as an artist and confessed that she feels as though she has proven herself

Speaking to Galore magazine, the beauty explained that she's no longer intimidated by people's negativity and is instead marching to the beat of her own drum:

"I feel like that happened when I was younger but now I don't think I'm even really considered that 'young' by music industry standards even though I'm only 22. It used to annoy me when I was younger because I suppose it just felt like people were always doubting me or waiting for me to f**k up and kind of scared and intimidated by the ideas I have."

Charli XCX went onto add that she loves showing the world what she's capable of: "That happens sometimes still, but I know how to get what I want and I love proving people wrong. So it's something I can handle."
