Nick Jonas on Valentine's Day: 'People put too much emphasis on it'

Heartthrob Nick Jonas has revealed that he doesn't really care for Valentine's Day because there's so much pressure on couples to be showy and overly affectionate.

Speaking to the British edition of Cosmopolitan magazine recently, the 'Jealous' hitmaker explained that he doesn't have any big plans for the holiday this year despite being in a relationship with model Olivia Culpo: "I don't know (what I'm doing for the day). Until last year I'd never celebrated it..."

"People put a lot of emphasis on the day, which can be problematic, but last year Olivia and I and two of our friends went on holiday to the Dominican Republic, which happened to fall over Valentine's Day. That was awesome."

He went onto add that although he isn't too fond of Valentine's Day, he is romantic and does like to spoil his girlfriends: "I'm romantic too: our first Christmas together I bought Olivia 12 gifts that all had some significance to the year we'd had. She loved it."
