5SOS nominated for 3 prizes at the 2015 APRA Music Awards

Aussie pop-punk group 5 Seconds Of Summer may have lost out at the BRIT Awards in London last night, but the lads have been nominated for 3 prizes at the 2015 APRA Music Awards.

The Australasian Performing Right Association's (APRA) annual songwriters' ceremony is one of the Australian music industry's most treasured events and it will take place at Carriageworks in Sydney on March 24.

5SOS are up for Most Played Australian Work and Pop Work of the Year for 'She Looks So Perfect', and the boys have been recognised in the prestigious Breakthrough Songwriter of the Year category. Troye Sivan and Chet Faker are also in the running for the Breakthrough Songwriter title. 

Sia, meanwhile, has been nominated for Song of the Year, Pop Work of the Year and Most Played Australian Work for 'Chandelier'. The Veronicas are included in the Song of the Year category for their hit, 'You Ruin Me'

The International Work of the Year title includes nominees Pharrell Williams with 'Happy', Clean Bandit ft. Jess Glynne with 'Rather Be', Magic! with 'Rude', Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me', and Eminem ft. Rihanna with 'Monster'.
