Little Mix describe their new album's lead single as 'a bit of a risk'

Girl group Little Mix have confirmed that they're almost finished working on their highly anticipated third album and can't wait to drop the surprising first single.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat at last night's BRIT Awards ceremony in London, the girls admitted that they're being bold and taking chances with their new music:

We've been working on the album for quite a while, we just want it to be perfect. It has a whole new sound. It's literally completely different to anything we've done before. Words can't describe how excited we are for this single because it's a bit of a risk, but so were 'Wings' and 'Move'. It's scary because we've never done this style before but we're excited because it's a new lane, a new year and we're feeling very positive."

As previously reported, member Leigh-Anne Pinnock teased that the music video for the record's lead single is likely to be very different from anything they've worked on before: "We want to do our first video... something a bit different. We want to go down a different (route)!"
