Paloma Faith reveals the best and worst things about being a solo singer

Songstress Paloma Faith has revealed that while she loves being a solo performer, there are definitely downsides to it and she often struggles with the criticism as she has to handle it by herself.

Speaking to reporters at the 2015 BRIT Awards in London yesterday, the beauty admitted that it can be tough to do things alone, but she loves the control she has over her sound and style:

"The best thing about performing alone is that I have full creative control and it feels very much a part of me and my identity. The worst part of performing alone is the scrutiny, I think... of the British public and the industry. Just, like, under the microscope."

She won the Best British Female Solo Artist prize at last night's ceremony and during her acceptance speech, she celebrated the underdog: "Flaws are what make people human and I don't claim to be perfect, and I make so many mistakes and I'm a bumbling wreck, but I'm just so grateful. I want to dedicate this to all the underdogs and all the grafters who work hard."
