Demi Lovato delivers body positive message to fans: 'You don't need a thigh gap to be beautiful'

'Really Don't Care' superstar Demi Lovato is an advocate of having a positive mental attitude and she shared a picture of her bikini body online earlier today along with an inspirational message that promotes self-love.

She accompanied the snap (pictured left) on Instagram with the following caption:

"Don't train to be skinny, train to be a #badass. Regardless of what society tells you these days... You don't have to have a thigh gap to be beautiful. It is possible to love your body the way it is."

Back in January, Lovato told her followers that she has managed to overcome the urge to quit when she's working out so many times and that self-belief pulls her through:

"My mind wanted to quit during my workout today but my body kept fighting and I was able to surpass what I thought were my limits. Sometimes you have to ALLOW yourself to reach new milestones when your mind wants to quit. Keep pushing yourself.. Your spirit deserves it. Quit being a quitter."
