2015 YouTube Music Awards announces 50 winners including One Direction and Ariana GrandeThe winners of the 2015 YouTube Music Awards have been revealed today and the list is extensive, including the likes of Fifth Harmony, Sam Smith and Tove Lo. 50 winners have been confirmed and a video was uploaded to the Internet by YouTube, in which the names of the artists and bands were unveiled. The list boasts Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Ariana Grande, Beyoncé, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, and Pharrell Williams. Other acts who won are 'Boom Clap' beauty Charli XCX, 'We Can't Stop' hitmaker Miley Cyrus, British boyband One Direction, and 'Shake It Off' superstar Taylor Swift Winners were selected based on growth in views, subscribers, and engagement over the last six months on YouTube. YouTube's one-day music takeover will be held to honour the winners later this month and VICE has been recruited to produce the event.
