Noel Gallagher hits out at the BRITs: 'It's no different to 'X Factor' - it's all the same s**t'

Former Oasis star Noel Gallagher has given his opinion on the BRIT Awards and confessed that it doesn't excite him at all because everyone mimes and everyone behaves themselves.

During an interview with Scotland's Daily Record, the rocker explained that the ceremony has lost its edge and credibility over the years because it's now all about celebrity hosts, lip-synching and 'dull interviews':

"The BRITs used to be an awards ceremony that just happened to be on the television. Now, it's a television show that just happens to give out a few awards. It's no different to 'X Factor' - everybody is f**king miming. Simon Cowell is walking around like the grand mufti. All the music sounds the same and all the people sound the same.

"When they interview (guests) at the tables, they all come out with the same s**t. They say, 'It's great to be here. She's amazing. I'm having such a great time'. Everybody's sober. It's a Tv show p**stake. The people who run the British music industry want it to be taken seriously - like the Grammys - yet they have Ant & Dec hosting it."
