'Harry Potter' star Emma Watson has been signed up to play Belle in a new film version of 'Beauty and the Beast' and she revealed that having to sing for the role was 'terrifying' because it's such a challenge. 

The 24-year-old actress told Total Film magazine fans should 'expect the unexpected' where her part in the movie is concerned because it's unlike anything she has ever done:

"I sing, so that's really unexpected. I've never had to do that for a film before, and I think people will be interested to see me do something very different like that. It gives me a different challenge, really. That's terrifying in and of itself!"

Dan Stevens, who is known for playing Matthew Crawley in 'Downton Abbey', will play the role of Beast and actor Luke Evans is lined up to play Gaston.
