Home has debuted at No.1 on the UK box office.

The animated DreamWorks film, which features the voice of Rihanna, took in £6,025,917 ($8,962,375) over the weekend.

The flick was released in the country on March 20 and it also features Jim Parsons.

It sees Rihanna's character Tip left behind on Earth after aliens relocate the human race.

Home beat The Divergent Series: Insurgent to the top spot, which raked in almost £3m ($4.46m).

At No.3 on the box office list is The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, which drops from No.1.

The Gunman is a new entry at No.5 with takings of just over £400,000 ($595,000).
