Little Mix: 'Record labels turn people away because of looks or age'

'Wings' hitmakers Little Mix have opened up about the benefits of launching a career in music from a platform such as 'The X Factor', which they won back in 2011.

During an interview in Dubai, the beauties explained that being able to get up on stage in front of people who really matter in the music industry and just sing for them is an amazing opportunity and one that is found only on vocal talent shows.

Jade Thirlwall admitted that having the chance to show what you do can in front of people who have the power to change your life is an incredible experience: "Sometimes record labels turn away people because of their looks or age and if you are trying for years to make it, that can really get you down. But when you go on a show like that it actually gives you a platform to show what you can do."
