Lady Gaga gives Justin Bieber advice: 'Life isn't always roses'

'Born This Way' sensation Lady Gaga has revealed that she recently bumped into Canadian superstar Justin Bieber at this week's Met Gala and gave him some advice.

She shared a photograph of them posing together at the high profile event and accompanied it with the following caption, in which she explained that she tried to remind him not to let negativity get under his skin:

"He really has a sweetness to him. He grew up in front of the whole world. I reminded him to not get bothered. Because at the end of the day. He's the boss, and life isn't always roses. Lots of thorns."

Bieber shared the same photograph, which can be seen above left, on his own Instagram page (May 5) and wrote: "Me and the queen."

Lady Gaga, meanwhile, is set to receive the inaugural Contemporary Icon Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame on June 19 and a statement from the organisation explains that this prize was created "to honour a performing songwriter "who has attained an iconic status in pop culture".
