Rixton's Jake Roche: 'Anxiety affected me a lot when I was younger'

Singer Jake Roche, of Rixton fame, has opened up about his anxiety struggles.

Speaking to The Sun newspaper, the star explained that he first started noticing his anxiety as a young teen and was picked on for his nervous behaviour: "From a very young age, I felt like some sort of 'anxiety' was slowly taking over and it was affecting me in everything I did."

He added that it was hard to make other people understand how he felt and he often felt isolated because of it: "In fact, some people laughed, but that was the frustrating part as no one could get their head around why I felt like this sometimes."

Rixton, meanwhile, have been confirmed to perform at this year's Capital FM Summertime Ball on Saturday, June 6 at London's Wembley Stadium. Other performers include Ariana Grande, Little Mix, Meghan Trainor, One Direction, and Nick Jonas.
