Iggy Azalea has 'scrapped 6 months worth of new music'

'Fancy' hitmaker Iggy Azalea returned to social media site Twitter yesterday (June 11) and admitted that new music is definitely in the works, but progress has been a little slow because she decided to 'scrap' everything she had and start anew.

When asked by one follower if she can reveal anything about her new album, the rapper explained that there's nothing much to tell at the moment: "Not really, other than that I scrapped an entire 6 months of work and started totally new."

Someone then wondered if she's going to reinvent herself, to which she responded: "I'ts too early to tell yet exactly how things will sound overall, but I'm not looking to abandon my identity."

As previously reported, Azalea also admitted that she wants to find another way to stay connected with her fans that doesn't involve Twitter: "It may seem at times like theres little reward for standing by me because I don't come online often and talk to you guys, I'm sorry about that. I'm still thinking of ways to keep in touch with you all and I love you all very much."
