Muse's 'Drones' earn them a fifth UK No.1 album

British rock trio Muse have earned themselves a fifth UK No.1 album this evening (June 14) with 'Drones'. 

The record, which boasts singles 'Dead Inside' and 'Mercy', totalled a combined chart sales figure of almost 73,000 copies this week. The band's other chart-topping full-length offerings include 'Absolution' (2003), 'Black Holes & Revelations' (2006), 'The Resistance' (2009) and 'The 2nd Law' (2012). 

Elsewhere on the UK Top 40, Florence + The Machine’s 'How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful' slips down one place to No.2, Collabro’s 'Act Two' is at No.3, and Ed Sheeran’s 'x' has climbed six places to re-enter the Top 5 at No.4. 

Icelandic folk-pop group Of Monsters & Men have scored their second UK Top 10 album with 'Beneath The Skin' (No.10), while Glenn Miller’s 'The Very Best Of' has re-entered the Top 40 for the first time in nearly five years at 16. 'Bones' hitmakers Young Guns have managed a second Top 40 with 'Ones And Zeros' at No.21.
