Selena Gomez: 'I know I'm not the greatest singer'

Songstress Selena Gomez has revealed that she knows she isn't the 'greatest singer' so has focused her new material on the fact that she's great at conveying emotion through lyrics and melodies.

During a new interview with the Elvis Duran breakfast show, the beauty explained that she finally knows what her strengths and weaknesses are so has used that knowledge to the full extent on her new album:

"For this record I wanted to find my sweet spot, if you will. I know that maybe vocally I wouldn't be the greatest singer in the world, but I know my strengths now. I know that I can translate emotion and heart, and I've written more than I've ever written on any album for this record."

Gomez went onto add that she still struggles to handle criticism: "I get sad, I get anxious, I get emotional, I get happy. Especially in my 20s, my gosh! I feel like I'm figuring out who I am and I'm constantly being criticise."
