Naughty Boy has teased more details about Zayn Malik's solo career progress.

The singer previously worked with the British producer whilst in One Direction.

However, since leaving the boyband in March, Malik has seem a demo hit the internet and more sessions take place.

Speaking in a new interview with Capital FM, Naughty Boy said that the singer's solo material will be "worth the wait".

He said: "He’s making a very soulful record. He’s writing, himself, on it as well."

“I think it’s worth the wait, I think the less I say about it the better. I think it’ll all make sense soon. Zayn’s his own man, no one can tell Zayn what to do, especially me!"

One Direction meanwhile have continued as a four-piece, with a new album expected to land in late 2015.
