Cher Lloyd 'shocked' that Simon Cowell hired Rita Ora for 'X Factor' judge role

Songstress Cher Lloyd has revealed that she was genuinely shocked to hear that 'Shine Ya Light' beauty Rita Ora will be on the judging panel for the upcoming new season of 'The X Factor'

Speaking to Heat magazine about the new line-up for the panel, the 'Swagger Jagger' star admitted that she was very surprised to see Ora added to the rundown of judges:

"I was very surprised that Simon hired Rita. I was shocked - that's for sure. I'm not sure if it's a good or bad thing, but I guess she's young and very influential. She's definitely on trend, but we'll see. No-one is going to fill Cheryl's shoes without a fight, and anyone who knows Cheryl knows she'll always be Simon's golden girl - she won't let Rita get close to where she's at."

Ora, meanwhile, recently, told The Sun newspaper that she decided to sign the contract after talking with music mogul Cowell about the changes that will be made to the vocal talent show:

"I had a lot of questions and he did too. But it just fit into place perfectly. And the time commitment worked perfectly for me. What made it special was when Simon asked me about X Factor, he told me about his plans for the show and how he was going to change it up."
