Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith have Biggest Songs of 2015 so far

The Official Charts Company has released a list of the Biggest Songs of 2015 so far and it sees Mark Ronson ft. Bruno Mars' 'Uptown Funk' in the No.1 position

The now iconic track has enjoyed combined sales of 1.44 million this year alone (1.93 million in total) and just behind at No.2 is Hozier’s 'Take Me To Church', with a combined chart sales figure of 996,000. OMI's 'Cheerleader', which was only released in April, takes third place with 994,00 equivalent sales. 

At No.4 is Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do', which has shifted 983,000 copies so far this year. British singer-songwriter Sam Smith claims the most entries in the Official Top 40 Biggest Songs of 2015 list so far, with 'Like I Can' (27), 'Lay Me Down' feat. John Legend (36) and 'Stay With Me' (37) all making the cut. Ellie Goulding, Ed Sheeran, Meghan Trainor and Sia also all have two entries in the list, which can be seen in full below.
