Taylor Swift's 'Blank Space' music video passes 1 billion views on VEVO

Songstress Taylor Swift is celebrating an incredible feat this weekend after the music video for her single 'Blank Space' passed the 1 billion views mark on VEVO.

The video hosting company posted a message online to confirm the incredible statistic and explained that it has been VEVO Certified, which means a video has been viewed 100 million times, 10 times over: "Congrats @TaylorSwift13! Blank Space is #10xCertified 1 BILLION views!"

Joseph Kahn, who directed the video for 'Blank Space', also shared a tweet about the amazing news and wrote: "A million views isn't cool, you know what's cool? A billion. The fact that BLANK SPACE hit a billion views on July 4 weekend is more proof that Taylor is the Chosen One."

Swift, meanwhile, is also enjoying another impressive achievement as her hit record '1989' is the best selling album in the U.S. so far this year. The studio effort, which was released in 2014, has topped a mid-year list released by tracking company Nielsen and it has shifted an equivalent of 2,011,000 units this year, with 1,328,000 actual sales.
