Jedward tease 'Sharknado' cameo: 'We didn't get eaten!'

Singers Jedward have just unveiled the music video for 'Oh Hell No', which features on the soundtrack to the forthcoming 'Sharknado' sequel, and they opened up about their involvement in the film project during a new interview with Xposé.

John and Edward Grimes explained that they were approached to create a song and music video by NBC and they had to ensure the track's accompanying visuals fitted well with the theme of the movie, which they also cameo in:

"When it came to the song, NBC approached us - they get the movie off SyFy - we were on set for 'Sharknado' and they were like, 'we want to make a song' so we wrote the song... The thing is when you have a song in a movie, you have to have that intensity. It has to fit a scene. That's what makes a movie - the music! If you look at any good movie, it has a good soundtrack."

"They're playing the song, like, three times in the movie. It's great to think our song's going to be in such an iconic (film)."

When asked if they get eaten by sharks in the upcoming film, the lads gave away a little more information than they were perhaps allowed to: "No, we didn't get eaten. They didn't kill us... they kill off every single person except - oh, I can't tell the plot! Usually people with cameos get eaten, but we didn't get eaten so it's all good. They might do a 'Jednado' sequel!"

The hitmakers also opened up about counting singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran as a fan and friend and admitted that he loves their songs: "Ed tweeted us saying he loved our new video and called it 'Jepic'... It's great because some people in Ireland don't even know our songs, but Ed knows all of them so it's amazing [...] I think it's great because you meet so many cool famous people, but he's like the coolest out of all of them, he keeps it real."
