Oritsé Williams: 'JLS members need time to develop as individuals'

Oritsé Williams thinks the four members of JLS are exploring their individuality after the band's split.

The group called it day at the end of 2013 after finding fame on the X Factor in 2009.

Speaking to BBC Newsbeat, Williams - who has now launched solo project OWS - believes the time is nigh for the singers to bring out their own creativity.

He said: "It's been two years since the split but people need to let us have time to develop as individuals. As far as we're concerned that's it.

"I'm so over the moon and proud of what we achieved. When I put the group together - I didn't know what was going to materialise from that."

"There comes a time when everybody eventually needs to be themselves. Now's the time for new things. In the same way you go from school to college, from college to university - there's the same kind of progression. JLS was high school days."

Bandmate Aston Merrygold meanwhile is also unleashing his solo career this summer.
