Doughnut store propelled to fame following Ariana Grande incident triples its sales

The Wolfee Donut shop in Lake Elsinore, California recently made headlines after superstar Ariana Grande was seen spitting and licking its baked goods on the store's security camera, but it turns out that the unfortunate incident has had a great impact on business.

Joe Marin, the store's owner, told People magazine that sales have tripled since footage of Grande's disrespectful behaviour went viral, which is only good news for him: "Everyone has come from all over Los Angeles to show their support."

Referring to the subsequent Riverside County Sheriff’s Department investigation into the store's cleanliness, which saw it receive a B rating from the health inspector rather than its previous A, he added: "Customers are putting things on the window saying, ‘With us you’re an A plus.’ They were minor things: little, tiny, minor things that were fixed in three days... We already fixed all the problems.”

Last week, the 'One Last Time' beauty uploaded a video apology to her social media accounts and told fans that she is very ashamed of how she chose to conduct herself when she thought no one was watching:

"I feel like seeing a video of yourself behaving poorly, that you had no idea was taken, is such a rude awakening. It's like you don't know what to do. I was so disgusted with myself. I reacted in a way that I feel like wasn't necessary, to say the least. Also it just wasn't me at all."
