Canadian singer Shawn Mendes is currently opening for Taylor Swift on tour and he stopped for a chat with MyFoxNY about his amazing fans and the great gifts they sometimes give him.

When asked if he's ever had any crazy fan encounters, the 'Stitches' hitmaker admitted that he has been lucky so far and has only really had positive experiences and lovely presents from his followers:

"To be honest, I've actually been pretty lucky - in terms of weird moments - I haven't had anything too crazy so maybe my time hasn't come yet. Weird gifts? I haven't gotten weird gifts, but I've definitely had cool gifts. This fan Brian, from here, he knows I love Harry Potter so he got me a bunch of Harry Potter signed pictures, which is so cool."

He also opened up about his two-year fast rise to fame, adding: "Crazy. It feels like it has been two weeks at most. It's just been fun. It hasn't really felt as long as it has taken, but it's just been really a wild adventure. It's amazing."
