Nominees for this year's MTV VMAs include Ariana Grande, Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift

Earlier today (July 21), it was confirmed that Miley Cyrus will host the upcoming MTV VMAs ceremony and details of the event's nominees have now also been announced.

The 2015 MTV VMAs will take place at Los Angeles' Microsoft Theater on August 30 and MTV shared the nominated acts in each category this afternoon. Taylor Swift is up for 3 prizes, namely Best Collaboration (with Kendrick Lamar for 'Bad Blood'), Best Female Performance ('Blank Space'), and Video of the Year ('Bad Blood').

Ariana Grande has been nominated twice in the Best Collaboration category for her offerings 'Problem' ft. Iggy Azalea and 'Bang Bang' ft. Nicki Minaj and Jessie J, and British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran is up for Best Male Performance and Video of the Year ('Thinking Out Loud'). Florence + the Machine, Walk The Moon, Hozier, Fall Out Boy and Arctic Monkeys will battle it out for the Best Rock Video title, and the coveted Artist To Watch prize could go to FKA Twigs, George Ezra, James Bay, Fetty Wap or Vance Joy.
