Carly Rae Jepsen on fame: 'It's a spoilt life, but a weird life'

'I Really Like You' songstress Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed that she's having a great time doing the promotional trail for her new album, 'Emotion', but is exhausted by the constant travelling and crazy schedule.

During an interview with BBC Radio 1's Nick Grimshaw, the star admitted that she is very tired, but is making up for it by having the best time every promoting her new material:

"I'm permanently jet-lagged, which is like a new state of weird. I'm just kind of bouncing from country to country every two days and living out of a suitcase and getting really used to room service. It's a spoilt life, but a weird life."

The beauty went onto add: "I mean promo is always a bit of a strange time 'cause yeah, you hop around, but it's still awesome. I mean I can't really complain."

She also opened up about relations between women in the music industry after this week's Twitter tension between Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift, and confessed that she believes that women are now less competitive with each other than ever before:

"I feel like there is a new age where women are much less competitive. I feel like the media does that too sometimes. Remember back in the day with Britney Spears against Christina Aguilera, and you're like, 'Is that really real or are they just trying to cause drama?'"
