Zayn Malik and Perrie Edwards have been named the sexiest man and woman in pop.

The power couple topped their respective male and female lists after U.K. radio station, Capital FM, asked the public to vote for the acts who most tickle their fancy.

Former One Direction man Malik beat off competition from the likes of Adam Lambert and ex-bandmate Harry Styles - who were placed at No. 2 and No. 3 - to win the male section. Rounding off the top five in the mens' category was Justin Bieber and Luke Hemmings. 

Little Mix gal Perrie Edwards meanwhile bagged the female title ahead of Fifth Harmony's Camila Cabello, Ariana Grande and Demi Lovato.

Other highly placed women included Selena Gomez and Rihanna.

Malik and Edwards are currently engaged after meeting through the X Factor in 2011.
