Cilla Black returns to the UK Official Charts following her death

Following the death of showbiz legend Cilla Black, the singer’s breakthrough track 'Anyone Who Had A Heart' has re-entered the midweek Official Singles Chart Top 100.

The Burt Bacharach and Hal David-penned classic topped the Official Singles Chart back in 1964 where it spent three weeks at No.1 and went onto become the biggest selling female single of the 1960s.

'Anyone Who Had A Heart' is currently at No.91 today based on sales and audio streams up to midnight last night, and is expected to climb further throughout this week.

The 2014 ITV drama ‘Cilla’, based on the singer's life starring Sheridan Smith also saw 'Anyone Who Had A Heart' return to the charts last September, reaching Number 47. Cilla scored 19 UK Top 40 singles in total across her career, of which 11 went Top 10, including another No.1 with 'You’re My World'.

Cilla Black’s The Very Best Of (68) also re-enters the midweek Official Album Chart Top 100 as fans begin to pay tribute by remembering her hits. The final Official Chart Top 100s will be revealed this Friday at their new time of 6pm, with the Top 40 being counted down on BBC Radio 1 from 4pm.
