Meghan Trainor and Charlie Puth set for UK No.1 with 'Marvin Gaye'

Charlie Puth and Meghan Trainor are both heading for their second UK chart topper this week with their brand new collaboration, 'Marvin Gaye'.

The track, which first entered the chart at Number 90 last week on streams alone, climbs a massive 89 places today following its full sales release, leading its nearest competitor – Calvin Harris & Disciples’ 'How Deep Is Your Love' (No.2) – by almost 31,000 combined chart sales.

Puth previously reached No.1 in April with Fast & Furious track 'See You Again' (with Wiz Khalifa), while Trainor’s debut offering 'All About That Bass' topped the chart in September last year, a week after becoming the first song in Official Chart history to have entered the Top 40 based on streams alone.

The Weeknd’s 'Can’t Feel My Face' continues to ascend the chart, climbing a further five places to No.3 in today’s update, followed by former chart toppers Little Mix with 'Black Magic' at 4 and Lost Frequencies’ 'Are You With Me' at No.5

Rita Ora is on course to score her 12th UK Top 40 with this week’s highest new entry 'Body On Me' ft. Chris Brown (No.17), British duo Tough Love’s 'Pony (Jump On It)' ft. Ginuwine lands at 28 midweek, as Selena Gomez’s sultry 'Good For You' looks set to make its Top 40 debut, starting at No.33 today.
