Meghan Trainor cancels remainder of tour after second vocal injury

Meghan Trainor has been forced into pulling the rest of her current tour after suffering a vocal injury relapse.

The singer was recently sidelined after suffering a vocal cord haemorrhage.

She soon after returned to the live circuit, but the US star has now had another setback.

Writing on Instagram today (August 11), Trainor said she has suffered another vocal cord haemorrhage and needs to cancel all of her North America tour dates as a result.

She said: "To all my fans - I was being careful and taking precautions, but I have haemorrhaged my vocal cord again. I got bronchitis and have been coughing a lot and that pushed it over the edge.

"Sadly, I will need to cancel the remainder of my tour and get surgery to finally fix this once and for all. I am devastated, scared, and so sorry.

"I love touring and seeing your beautiful faces every night. I am determined to do what it takes to get better and come back around stronger than ever. I love you, and I thank you for all of your understanding, love and support."
