Boy George and Paloma Faith added to The Voice as Tom Jones quits

Boy George and Paloma Faith will feature on the next series of The Voice.

Sir Tom Jones, who has been on the show since it started in 2012, has left his role as a coach.

The news was confirmed today (August 14) as Ricky Wilson and will.i.am remain in their seats.

Boy George commented: "I'm a huge fan of the show and have watched and engaged with it from series one.

"If I can help someone to win I will be delighted. What a wonderful opportunity to share my experiences and help someone move forward with their musical career."

Paloma Faith added: "I'm really excited about working with creative people.

"I have a long history of helping break artists as in my club nights I booked Kate Nash, Adele, and The Noisettes before they hit the big time."

The BBC One show, hosted by Emma Willis and Marvin Humes, is due to air next year.

Last series' judge Rita Ora meanwhile jumped ship to the X Factor after being poached by Simon Cowell.
