Carly Rae Jepsen on new album: 'I wanted to be brave'

Songstress Carly Rae Jepsen has revealed that all she ever hopes to do with her music career is to "be brave".

"There's a stereotype idea of what a pop star is, and I don't really fit into that."

Referring to her new album 'Emotion', the beauty confessed that she wanted to be bold with the music she was making after finding such tremendous success with her breakthrough single, 'Call Me Maybe':

"'Call Me Maybe' was such a gift, but I don't need that to happen again. I wanted to be brave and [record] music that was really me rather than just putting out what I thought would sell. I would've regretted more not doing what I did -- making a passion project come to life."
