Ticket demand for Apple Music Festival acts sees 'explosive surge'

Earlier this month, Apple Music Festival confirmed that One Direction, Pharrell Williams, Disclosure and Florence + The Machine will be performing at its September shows and it has now been revealed that demand for the announced performers has increased significantly since this news broke.

Tickets for the Apple Music Festival, which is set to take place over ten nights from September 19-September 28 at London’s Roundhouse, are free and have to be won from the event's official page.

Unfortunately, places are limited so only a select number of people will be able to attend the concerts and this has caused a surge in demand for tickets to the acts' own gigs.

Oliver Wheeler, spokesperson for viagogo explained to Forbes magazine that people are now buying more tickets to see the Apple Music Festival acts at their own headlining concerts because passes for the event itself are going to be so hard to get hold of:

“We have seen an explosive surge in global ticket demand across the board, off the back of Apple Music Festival’s star studded line up. With Apple’s picks all touring later this year, it seems fans who aren’t able to attend this year’s festival are already looking to stave off the summer blues by snapping up tickets to see their favourite artists in action this Autumn.”
