Songstress Demi Lovato recently suffered a tragic loss after her beloved dog Buddy was killed in an accident, but for her birthday she received a new puppy and has named him Batman. 

Batman is a cute Yorkipoo and he was a present for her 23rd birthday. During a new interview with On Air with Ryan earlier this morning (August 26), the beauty explained that her new pet pooch is adorable: 

“I don’t really think he realises who is his mom exactly. But at night and in the morning, he sleeps in the bed and he’ll wake me up with a ton of kisses. And yesterday all four of his legs were on top of my head, so he was like a hat."

Lovato, meanwhile, will perform 'Cool For The Summer' at this year's MTV VMAs. There ceremony will take place on August 30 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles, California and Miley Cyrus will host the show.
