Songstress Mariah Carey is releasing a Christmas picture book based on her 1994 festive hit single, 'All I Want For Christmas Is You'.

Speaking to People magazine about the exciting project, she admitted that she is "thrilled" and can't wait for families to enjoy it together: "When I wrote 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' it was my dream for it to become a classic Christmas song."

The 'Infinity' songstress went onto add that she wants to help create special memories with the book: "I am so proud of the song's impact as it continues to create memories for fans each year. I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families with the picture book."

Carey, meanwhile, is set to make her directorial debut later this year as she will direct and co-star in 'Mariah Carey's Christmas Project', which will air on the Hallmark Channel in the USA.
