Demi Lovato set for 'Saturday Night Live' performance next month

Songstress Demi Lovato has revealed that she will perform on an upcoming episode of 'Saturday Night Live' and is very excited about it.

The beauty will take the SNL stage on October 17 and the episode will be hosted by comedian Tracy Morgan, who has been recovering from a terrible car accident. The 'Cool For The Summer' superstar told her followers that she can't wait and tweeted: "HOLY S**T I'M PLAYING @nbcsnl ON OCT 17TH!!!!!!!"

Other previously confirmed musical guests for the new season of 'Saturday Night Live' include 'I Can't Feel My Face' sensation The Weeknd (October 10) and Miley Cyrus, who will do double duties and also host the October 3 episode

Lovato, meanwhile, is gearing up to unveil her highly anticipated new studio album 'Confident', which is due for release in October, and she has now revealed to ET Online why she chose the empowering word for the title: "The album is called 'Confident'. And I wanted something that was going to best represent the album title, where I'm at today and the music. I've never been more confident in my life and it was the perfect album title."
