'Cool For The Summer' sensation Demi Lovato has revealed that she wants her new album 'Confident' to inspire and empower women because it's the first offering she has ever made without censoring herself. 

She will release the highly anticipated album on October 16 and recently told Billboard that she is very authentic on this record because she wanted to make music for herself rather than with an audience or specific demographic in mind:

“I’m not afraid to have attitude on this album and just be able to say what I want, speak what I want -- that’s really what I’m most proud of on this album is kind of not caring what anyone else thinks. Just making music for me.”

She went onto add that hopefully this sentiment will inspire her female fans to be themselves: “I always try to send kind of an inspirational music to everybody but I also really want to empower women. I think that with this album, hopefully it will empower women.”
