5SOS: 'We want fans to know we're up for more than just taking photos'

Aussie sensations 5 Seconds Of Summer have revealed that they sympathised with Justin Bieber when he recently ranted on Snapchat about fans turning up to see him only to take a quick selfie and then disappear without actually having a conversation.

The band's guitarist, Michael Clifford, explained that he understood what Bieber meant because he and the other 5SOS lads have also experienced hostility from fans who think they are owed a photograph:

"What he meant was he didn't want to feel like a trophy when people take selfies. That's the world we live in now and we know that, we have the exact same thing. People will come to us and not give a s**t about talking to us."

Bass player Calum Hood added: "I was walking out of here yesterday and this girl came up and asked for a photo, I said yeah and then she left saying 'Nice to meet you.' Are you really meeting me or just getting a photo? I hope our fans know I would love nothing more than having a proper chat. That's cool to me."
