Adam Lambert's UK fans give Pressparty a Touch of Sparkle update

Earlier this year, a group of devoted Adam Lambert fans in the UK created an unofficial charity project that provides care packages (pictured below) to hospital patients battling cancer

175 care packs have been donated to date with 50 more packs due for donation in November, and this will include bags for male cancer patients to mark Movember. Back in June Lambert performed live at London's One For The Boys event, which was put on to raise male cancer awareness so this is an issue he is actively involved in

Melanie Hersey, one of the organisers, told Pressparty that the last batch of 50 care packs was donated to patients earlier this month on October 1, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month. She added: "The bags were decorated by 7th Cambridge Girl Guides (pictured below) who brightened up the packs with stickers, glitter, drawings and personal messages to cheer up the patients."

She went onto explain that artist Robyn Garside recently auctioned off four signed portraits of the singer and raised around £1500 for Touch of Sparkle, which will help fund the campaign for many months to come. All items for the bags are purchased using a GoFundMe account and Amazon wishlist.

In July, the vocal powerhouse took to his official Twitter page and praised Touch of Sparkle for its fantastic work, writing: "I love the good work that @_touchofsparkle is doing!!! Check them out!"

Lambert, meanwhile, is currently promoting his new single 'Another Lonely Night' and he will appear on Alan Carr's 'Chatty Man' talk show in the UK tomorrow (October 16) for a special interview and performance. You can watch his music video for the track below.
