Little Mix have won the Best UK and Ireland Act MTV EMA

'Black Magic' hitmakers Little Mix have been named 2015 MTV European Music Awards' Best UK and Ireland Act.

The beauties managed to fight off incredibly tough competition from the likes of Ellie Goulding, Sam Smith, Tinie Tempah, Calvin Harris and James Bay, and this year's ceremony will be held at the Mediolanum Forum in Milan, Italy on October 25.

A post announcing the exciting news on MTV's official website explains: "This year, we’ve put a new twist on the international award race—your local winner goes STRAIGHT into the running for the Worldwide Act EMA! When EMA winners are announced on 25 October during our Milan event, 6 Worldwide Act winners will emerge."

During a recent interview with BANG Showbiz, the stars admitted that their new album 'Get Weird' is something their fans will love once it's finally released next month: "It's a very good introduction to what the album is. The album is so pop, so colourful, very personality-driven. I think 'Salute' was quite dark and a bit R&B whereas this is just full on pop excitement, like, we just absolutely love this album. We didn't hold back at all, we just went for it."
