This year's American Music Awards will take place on November 22 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles and an impressive live line-up has now been confirmed. 

Songstress Selena Gomez, who just unveiled her new album 'Revival', country sensation Carrie Underwood, and Australian pop-punk quartet 5 Seconds Of Summer have all been announced as performers for the event. 

Taylor Swift leads the AMAs nominees with a total of 6 nods, including Artist of the Year, Song of the Year ('Blank Space'), Collaboration of the Year ('Bad Blood'/Kendrick Lamar), Favourite Female Artist - Pop/Rock, Favourite Album - Pop/Rock ('1989'), and Favourite Artist - Adult Contemporary. UK based boyband One Direction are up for the Favourite Duo/Group - Pop/Rock prize, as well as Artist of the Year.

5SOS, meanwhile, will release their highly anticipated new studio album 'Sounds Good Feels Good' tomorrow (October 23) and they have also just been confirmed to perform at the upcoming BBC Music Awards, which is set to take place on Thursday, December 10 at the Genting Arena in Birmingham.
