Adele on motherhood: 'It is hard but it's phenomenal'

In her first magazine interview in over three years, Adele has spoken candidly about her experience of being a mum.

Adele gave birth to her son Angelo in October 2012 and spoke for the first time about her home life in an exclusive interview with i-D magazine.

When asked “How's life as a mum?”, Adele replied:

“It's f**king hard. I thought it would be easy. 'Everyone f**king does it, how hard can it be?'… I had no idea. It is hard but it's phenomenal. It's the greatest thing I ever did.”

She continued: “He makes me be a d**khead, and he makes me feel young and there's nothing more grounding than a kid kicking off and refusing to do what you're asking of them. It used to be that my own world revolved around me, but now it has to revolve around him.”

During her chat with i-D, the ‘Hello’ star also revealed that her son was the reason she did not participate in promotion of her theme song for the James Bond film ‘Skyfall’.

Adele explained: “I gave birth a few nights before the ‘Skyfall’ premiere, that's why I didn't do anything for it. He was about to drop out my fanny at, like, any moment.”
