John Lennon tribute concert adds more acts to line-up

The late John Lennon, of The Beatles fame, would have turned 75-years-old on October 9 and to celebrate his birthday a concert will be held in New York City. 

The tribute gig will take place at the Theatre at Madison Square Garden on December 5 and a host of high profile musical acts have been confirmed to perform at the show. 

Brandon Flowers, frontman for The Killers, has joined the line-up along with the likes of The Roots, Aloe Blacc, Sheryl Crow, Peter Frampton, Kris Kristofferson, Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, Willie Nelson, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler, Pat Monahan from Train, Chris Stapleton, Juanes and country star Eric Church.

Tickets for the gig are due to officially go on sale on Tuesday, 17 November at 9am EST, but it will also be filmed and broadcast on America's AMC channel on December 19.
