Glasgow Hydro venue denies cutting off Madonna's power

Glasgow's Hydro venue has denied it pulled the plug on Madonna's live show on Sunday (December 20).

The singer rallied through her track 'Holiday' at the end of the night with no PA or light show.

It was suggested that the US star had broken her curfew, with the Hydro staff cutting the power.

However, a spokesperson for the venue said it was Madonna's own team who disconnected the show after her scheduled set ended.

They said: "Madonna finished her agreed set and then chose to come on for another song.

"By that stage, all the power and control equipment had already been disconnected by her own production engineers. I would stress that this was not a venue decision."

Madonna was performing in the Scottish city as part of her Rebel Heart world tour.

The singer was an hour late at a gig in Manchester recently after her video show crashed.
